🔍 Taiwan’s Smart Parking System Hack Detected on Pro-China Telegram Channel
• On August 4, a message claiming responsibility for a cyberattack on Taiwan’s smart parking system was uploaded to the 'Infrastructure Destruction Squad' Telegram channel.
• The threat actor claims that information on more than 3,000 vehicles and payment records were compromised, and also mentioned that the entry gates were physically disrupted.
✓ A 27-second video was uploaded as proof, showing footage of vehicles entering the parking lot and the parking system screen.
• The threat actor has left messages supporting China multiple times in the channel.
✓ Example: ‘Tell Taiwan to stop threatening China. There will be a response to any threat. The response will be destruction.’
🔍 Japanese Pump Manufacturer ‘K’ Customer Data Leaked on Dark Web
• On August 5, sensitive customer data from Japanese pump manufacturer ‘K’ was found to have been leaked on the dark web hacking forum ‘BreachForums’.
✓ Data for sale: Customer personal information such as names, addresses, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses.
• The seller, ‘N1KA’, released some of the data as a sample. The leaked information was identified as a database of customer inquiries submitted to Company 'K' in 2017.
• Based on the format of the sample data, the breach is suspected to have occurred via a SQL Injection attack.
→ SQL Injection: SQL Injection is an attack technique in which attackers inject malicious SQL code into a website's database to manipulate the database, enabling threats such as data theft and unauthorized login to administrator accounts.
🔍 42GB of Saudi Arabia Customs Internal Data for Sale on Dark Web
• On August 5, Saudi Arabian customs internal information was found to be for sale on the dark web hacking forum 'BreachForums' (File size: 42GB, Price: USD 700).
• Forum user ‘sentap’ claimed to possess data related to import/export items, customs clearance documents, logistics information, and data on countries trading with Saudi Arabia.
• The seller provided sample files including export certificates for electrical products and import compliance certificates related to Saudi Arabia and GCC countries. They also promote that they can provide a 100MB sample of the data.
