⚠️ Malaysian Telecom Company Leaks Millions of Customers' Personal Information; Data Suspected to Be in Negotiation for Sale.
• Internal data from a Malaysian telecom company has been leaked and is being sold on the hacking forum BreachForums.
• On July 16, a threat actor named Sh1mo posted about selling internal data from the Malaysian telecom company U. According to the post, the data for sale includes detailed personal information of approximately 4 million telecom customers.
• The seller has disclosed information of about 100 customers for free and set the selling price at approximately 6 million Korean Won. It is suspected that a specific forum user, showing interest in the data, has entered into purchase negotiations.
⚠️ Global Media & Entertainment Giant Company D Detects 1TB Internal Data Leak
• Internal documents of the famous American media and entertainment company, Company D, have been leaked and are being shared on BreachForums.
• On July 12, a threat actor named NullBulge claimed to have leaked approximately 1.1TB of extensive data from the affected company and made the data public. According to him, the leaked data includes various messages, files, images, source code, and even projects of Company D that have not yet been disclosed to the public.
• He stated that the data was leaked through Slack, a widely-used collaboration tool and messenger in IT companies. It appears that there are recent documents included, based on the captured screenshots.
• Since Slack is often used to upload files and internal documents related to various internal projects, special attention to security is necessary.
⚠️ Brazil's Government Agency Managing Nuclear Facilities Experiences Internal Data Leak. Includes Various Blueprints, Contracts, and Image Files.
• Internal documents from Brazil's government agency managing nuclear facilities have been leaked and are being sold on BreachForums.
• On July 18, user ZeroSevenGroup on BreachForums announced they are selling 250GB of leaked data from Brazil's nuclear facilities agency, including defense data, facility management details, nuclear submarine information, and personal data of staff.
• Upon reviewing the sample data they made public, it was confirmed that it contains numerous documents likely to be internal, such as blueprints and contracts, suggesting significant risk if the data is exposed.
