S2W presented on cybersecurity and AI at the UN
2024.07.04

🌐 S2W presented on cybersecurity and AI at the United Nations headquarters in New York, USA.

S2W's participation marked a milestone as it became the first Korean company directly invited by the UN to present its AI-driven crime-tracking solutions to UN investigative officers. This recognition underscores S2W's crucial role in shaping global cybersecurity standards.

The UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) conference on the June 28th was a private meeting with representatives from 193 UN-affiliated agencies. Only two private institutions were invited, and S2W was one of them.

📌 About the keynote:

Speaker: S2W Ted Hyunmin Suh

Topic: “Leveraging AI for Investigation Purposes: DarkBERT - an AI model for combating cyber crimes at scale on the dark web”

Focusing on "Use of Cybercrime Services by Terrorists and Extremists for Dark Web and Cyber Attacks," Hyunmin Suh highlighted the increasing role of AI in tackling darkweb and Telegram crimes. He discussed how DarkBERT, the world's first AI language model designed specifically for the dark web, and DarkCHAT, a ChatGPT-style chatbot integrated with DarkBERT, enhance cybercrime investigations.

In the report written by UNICRI and UNOCT, they stated that they express their gratitude to S2W for sharing insights and facilitating access to data collection tools that contributed to this study. We extend our gratitude to the UN once again for giving us honor to speak.
