⚠ Ransomware Attack: Consulting Service

Maz*** Group, a renowned global consulting services firm headquartered in France, has been identified as a victim of a cyber-attack carried out by a prominent ransomware gang known as "Alphv" (BlackCat), currently operating within the dark web. The ransomware gang, Alphv, has uploaded a database stolen from Maz*** onto their secure leakage site, under the title "Confidential and High Sensitive Data." The stolen database reportedly contains sensitive documents pertaining to Maz***' client companies, financial information, and various other relevant documents as described by the attackers.

Maz*** is a multinational company that offers comprehensive global accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services. With 95 countries, Maz*** serves clients across diverse industries including government agencies, manufacturing, financial services, real estate, technology, and retail.

⚠ New Forum: Hacking

The S2W Dark Web Crawler has recently discovered a newly established hacking forum named “exposed.vc.” The user interface of exposed.vc closely resembles that of two previously well-known global dark web hacking forums: RaidForums, which enjoyed significant popularity among dark web users in the past, as well as its successor, Breached.

History of hacking forum: RaidForums, which boasted an approximate user base of 500,000 individuals on the global dark web, was established in 2015 and subsequently seized in March 2022 through a collaborative operation involving Europol and US authorities.

In March 2022, a successor forum known as “Breached Forums” surfaced, imitating the user interface of RaidForums. However, in January 2023, the forum's operator, going by the alias “pompompurin,” was apprehended by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), leading to the subsequent shutdown of the forum. Since the closure of Breached Forums, there has been considerable speculation regarding its potential successor. This makes the emergence of the Exposed hacking forum a significant development, as it features an identical user interface to that of Breached Forums.
